Board met at 7:05 p.m. at the Indian Head School prior to the Sp. Town Meeting.
Discussed clerical issue in Selectmen's Office. On motion by Mrs. Fasci and 2nd Murdeoch, Board voted to set up a job description to bring back for review and to establish dates as soon as possible with clerical union for negotiation. Letter will be sent to Marion Elms with cc to Union. Problem caused by Town Meeting not allocating funds to fill the position of Executive Assistant.
Grievance discussed on dispatcher contract. At this time the Board will take under review and deal with next week. Will notify Judith Hatch that this will be on the agenda on October 30 at 7:30 p.m. Letter to go to Chief requesting backup and reason for refusal.
Voted to set hearing 11/6 on State allowing sale of alcoholic beverages on the Sundays before Christmas and New Years. Hearing will be at 8:00 p.m.
Voted to approve request of Kiwanis Club for Common Victualer license and license to sell wine at speghetti dinner to be held at Kiwanee on Saturday, November 3.
Janet VanSteensel requests meeting with Board to discuss free cash and how it is arrived at. 8:30 p.m. on 10/30. She will submit questions in writing.
